8 youth from around the Province were chosen to represent TEAM BC Archery to compete at the 2014 North American Indigenous Games (NAIG) in Regina Saskatchewan.
5 of the 8 were from Osoyoos Indian Band. (Kyle, Talon, Jonah, Brooke & Taylor). They flew out to North American Indigenous Games in Regina, Saskatchewan with Sonya Jenson (Chaperone) on July 19.
NAIG results were Talon – 3rd – bronze medal, Taylor – 3rd – bronze medal, Kyle – 5th, Brooke – 4th, Jonah – 9th.
On July 25th Joe & William, Lindsay Anderson (Chaperone) & Matt Baran- Youth Coordinator drove out to pick up the Team BC youth and traveled to Lac La Biche, Alberta for the 2014 Canadian National Archery Championships.
Results were- Kyle- Gold,Talon- Gold, Brooke- Bronze, Joe- Bronze, Sonya- Bronze, William- 8th, Jonah- 9th, Taylor- 5th. OIB families proudly welcomed them home Tuesday night August 5th.
