No Change from previous report

The fire remains approximately 313 hectares and is approximately 50% contained. The threat to Public Safety has not changed. The evacuation alert remains for the 13 previously identified properties at least for another day.

Jura Fire – Update # 4
2000hrs July 18, 2014

The fire has been measured at 460 hectares. The Forestry crews, air and ground support were able to make good progress on this fire today with literally zero growth and are now calling the fire 70% contained. As a precautionary safeguard, the evacuation alert remains for the 606 previously identified properties and we will re-assess again tomorrow. The winds were blowing in a northwest direction for most of today, but there is still a threat of stronger winds forecasted later today.

Boot Hill Fire (aka Nickleplate) – Update # 4
2000hrs July 18, 2014

There is no significant change from yesterday. The fire remains at approximately 138 hectares with 30% containment. Crews have continued working on building a guard around the perimeter. Public Safety has not changed. There is no evacuation alerts associated with this incident.
