Apex Mountain Fire – Update # 2

The fire has expanded to approximately 186 hectares. It is approx. 50% contained at 0700 this morning. The threat to Public Safety has not changed. The evacuation alert remains for the 13 previously identified properties.

Jura Fire – Update # 1

The fire has expanded to approximately 200 hectares. The Forestry crews worked steadily overnight and were able to place a guard on 2/3 of the perimeter. They are focusing on completing the guard today. The evacuation alert remains for the 606 previously identified properties for at least today. We will re-assess the situation this afternoon.

Boot Hill Fire (aka Nickleplate) – Update # 1

This fire has expanded to approximately 136 hectares with 0% containment. The crews are working on building a guard around the perimeter to get the upper hand. Public Safety has not changed. There are no evacuation alerts associated with this incident.
