Apex Mountain Fire – Update # 3

The fire has expanded to approximately 313 hectares. It is approx. 50% contained on the south end of the fire closest to homes. The threat to Public Safety has not changed. The evacuation alert remains for the 13 previously identified properties.

Jura Fire – Update # 2

The fire has expanded to approximately 300 hectares. The Forestry crews worked steadily overnight and were able to place a guard on 2/3 of the perimeter. They are focusing on completing the guard today. The evacuation alert remains for the 606 previously identified properties . 40 percent contained.

Boot Hill Fire (aka Nickleplate) – Update # 2

This fire has expanded to approximately 138 hectares with 30% containment. Crews have been working on building a guard around the perimeter.
