Update: As the crews in the air retire for the night the upslope fire has grown to 35 hectares with 20 crew on the ground with more coming in the morning.

Ministery officials says no structures near the fire or threatened. No evacuation orders.

RCMP was stopping traffic at Apex Turnoff (Marron Valley Rd) at 7:30 pm

Helicopters doing most of the work bringing in water from Twin Lakes and Yellow Lake as there is no source near the fire. No evacuation orders issued and fire being soaked from above.

Forests says there is a crew of 27 working on the ground with tankers and helicopters working throughout the day. Morning light will show more of the damage than the pictures above can demonstrate.
