Recent resignations from the School District No. 53 principal leadership team have resulted in changes in the principalships of the following schools:
Osoyoos Elementary School
With the resignations of Bo MacFarlane and Caroline Pennelli, Dave Foster has recently been appointed as principal of OSES. Dave has been with the district for ten years and has served as the principal of Tuc-El-Nuit Elementary for three years and vice principal of Osoyoos Secondary for four years. Dave is pleased to be returning to the community of Osoyoos. The Board wishes to thank Bo and Caroline for their years of service and dedication to students. We wish them all the best in their new positions and endeavours.

The Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Glen Heinrichs as principal of YouLearn.ca. Glen has been with School District No. 53 for thirteen years and has held the positions of vice-principal of Southern Okanagan Secondary as well as Osoyoos Secondary schools, and most recently the position of principal of Osoyoos Secondary since 2007.
Tuc-El-Nuit Elementary School
The Board of Education is pleased to announce that Shendah Benoit has been appointed as principal of Tuc-el-Nuit Elementary. Shendah has been with the district for five years and has served as teacher at Okanagan Falls Elementary School and most recently as vice principal of Osoyoos Elementary School. The position of vice principal at Osoyoos Elementary School will be posted and will close mid- August. The Board of Education wishes all candidates every success in their respective roles.
