“Oliver Ambassador Program Duck Race, and Little Buddy Draw nearing”

“Tickets are still available for the Oliver Ambassador’s third annual duck race !

The drop will be in the creek by the community center and Portuguese club, and the winners will be announced at 6:00 at the community band shell.

Tickets are $2 and they are available at Medici’s, Beyond Bliss, and at Valley First ! First, second, and third prize are $100, $50, and $25, and you don’t have to be present to win !

Also, if you know any kids in grades K-3 that are interested in becoming an ambassador buddy then make sure to pick up a registration form at the Parks and Recreation office !

The draw will be right after the announcement of the duck race winners. The Ambassadors and their buddies will be in the Sunshine festival parade on Saturday July 12th, and will participate in pageant activities on Saturday August 23rd.

The Oliver Ambassadors have been busy attending pageants and volunteering at local events. June 27th, Me and our three candidates participated in the Princeton Rodeo parade and pageant, and on June 30th all three ambassadors, and candidates went to the Miss Osoyoos pageant ! Canada Day was busy as we started the day off at the Canada Day breakfast, hurried down to Osoyoos for the Cherry Fiesta parade, then had a short break before travelling up to Peachland for their Canada day parade. On the 12th after the Sunshine Festival Parade the Ambassadors are looking forward to be going up to Kamloops for their pageant ! We are very excited for the upcoming out of town pageants we will be attending, and hope to see everyone at local events !”
