On July 2nd, 2014, at approximately 0905 Hrs Oliver RCMP, assisted by Osoyoos RCMP and Penticton Police Dog Service attended to a report of a break and enter in progress at the Thrift Store Warehouse located at 6005 Station St, Oliver, BC. Investigation failed to locate any suspects however, the would be thieves ransacked several kiosks and as of this writing it is unknown what exactly was stolen. Further to the potential for theft inside the business, two circular saws and a reciprocating saw, which was left on the roof were stolen. This matter is still under investigation.
On June 26th, 2014 the Property Rep for the Oliver Thrift Store located at 5928 Kootenay Street called to report mischief to their outside security cameras overnight. Approximately 2 weeks prior two of their three outside cameras were stolen, and last night the third one was vandalized. Also damaged were the TELUS telephone wires leading into the building, which the culprit(s) possibly mistook as camera wires.
