Emergency crews used parade route to get to accident

Emergency crews called to lane behind Home Building Centre on Main Street during parade.

Cpl Jason Bayda: Yes there was a person on a mobility scooter struck in the alley behind the building centre. Garbage truck was backing up and struck male pushing him off his scooter and dragged him 157 meters. The scooter driver, a male suffered extensive scrapes / rash and was transported to Oliver hospital by ambulance.
