The Loose Bay Campground Society gratefully acknowledges the financial support of the Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust*, a trust created and funded by the Province of British Columbia to encourage, promote and support economic development in the Southern Interior of British Columbia.
Oliver’s economy is anchored by agriculture and a reliable supply of Canadian workers is essential. Loose Bay Campground plays an important role in maintaining that supply.
Campers, Canadian Farm Workers, and Farmers send a big thank you to Loose Bay Campground Society directors Greg, Chris, Hans, Valerie, and Shyvano, assisted by Craig Roth of Nulton Irrigation, Bruce Hamilton, Mike Johnson Excavating, Town and RDOS staff, MLA Linda Larson, Tru Building Centre, Jim Linton, Fortis, Argon Electric, Kobau Plumbing, and Ironman Drilling.
“The youth coming to Oliver are very grateful to have a comfortable campsite, access to water and be available to farmers for their harvest – many thanks to the community for their support” manager Yvon Ferland.
“Southern Interior Development Initiative Trust is committed to creating a significant positive impact across the region,” states Grace McGregor, SIDIT Chair. SIDIT is proud to support The Loose Bay Campground Project which is essential to the economic sustainability of Oliver and the surrounding region.
