August 11 at 2pm in courtroom 100 – former Penticton Councillor Gary Leaman, 58, is set to be sentenced.
He pled guilty to a 5 criminal code charges including two assault charges. No other particulars allowed to be released by the courts.
The names of the complainants cannot be published, in accordance with the original order.
Leaman retired in October of last year from his job as General Manager of Cherry Lane Mall. He is a former Penticton City Councillor who ran unsuccessfully for the mayor’s chair in 2008.

September 3 at 2pm in courtroom 100 – former Osoyoos elementary school teacher Michael R. McWhinnie, 67, is set to be sentenced.
He pled guilty to a fraud and theft charge in connection with the loss of funds from the Osoyoos Rural Fire Protection District.
