Due to the teachers’ strike, a lot of the work involved in organizing and preparing for graduation is falling on the parents and students.  There are a small number that are helping, but we need more people!

Here’s what the schedule looks like:

Monday, June 23 @ 2:00pm – Oliver Community Centre.  Trucks and people needed to move 400 chairs and 50 tables from the community centre to SOSS.  People are required at both sites to load and unload, and to set up the tables and chairs at SOSS.

Tuesday, June 24 @ 10:00am – Riverside Greenhouse and Nursery, Oliver. Plants need to be selected for decoration and transported to SOSS. **Grade 11 students and parents will be decorating for the scholarship dinner on Monday night and Tuesday morning**

Wednesday, June 25 @ 1:00pm – SOSS Gym.  1) The gym needs to be decorated for the graduation ceremony taking place on Thursday, June 26. 2) Tables need to be returned to the community centre – trucks needed!

Friday, June 27 – Chairs need to be moved from SOSS back to the community centre.  Trucks are needed to transport the chairs, and people at both locations to load and unload. Plants need to be returned to Riverside Greenhouse and Nursery. Time TBA (most likely morning).

We would like to invite all members of the community to come help!! Parents, students, family and friends. Even if you can’t be there for the start of the tasks listed, anytime you are able to join in and help would be greatly appreciated.
