The building I work at shares space and name with the school next door. The grade 12’s toilet papered the front of the building and the roof last Thursday night.
That got me thinking about Mrs. Thompson and her Isetta car. In doing my research on the spelling of the name Isetta, I discovered that the origins of the car were Milan Italy, but the company had licensed branches world wide including the main one being BMW in Germany. The Germans called it Motocoupe and BMW introduced it in April 1955. By November of that year, 10,000 had been built.
I don’t remember what year Mrs Thompson started driving her Isetta to school, but it made quite a stir in the community. I didn’t know it then, but the grade 12 boys had their eye on that car.
The first time it was moved from the parking lot, if I remember correctly, was when it was placed inside the school. I guess that was a trial run for the next and most impressive prank.
The next time the Isetta was moved, Mrs. Thompson found her car on top of the south side entry way roof. What a sight that was! The event was greeted with much hilarity!
Mrs Thompson was not impressed for she feared for her car because she did not know if the roof could hold the weight of her car. The grade 12 boys had that all figured out though, and they were right, there were no problems. The vehicle was extracted from the roof and placed back in its parking spot.
The grad pranks are over for another year. Now it is time to get back to reality
