Keremeos Fire Department dispatched to three calls Thursday

13:50 to Ashnola Rd – Grass Fire
15:45 to Willis Ranch Rd – Grass Fire
17:04 to Cawston – Log Fire

A fire at T L Timber 2254 Newton off Hwy. 3 in Cawston Thursday in the late afternoon damaged the log home business. Fire officials said it was the third lightning strike in the day.

Osoyoos Fire Department sent a truck as back up, a trucking firm helped to bring more water to the scene and no buildings were damaged.

No injuries reported – most of the damaged blackened logs
