“At lunch today (Thursday), teachers will be picketing during their lockout, which could present issues for other union members working inside the schools.
“Teachers have been advised by the B.C. Teachers’ Federation to honour the government’s lock out at lunch with picket lines. They are locked out,” the BCTF said.
“Supervision is still covered by essential services, as it has been since Day 1. Administration and districts should already have plans in place.”
Prior to today, during lockout times at recess and lunch, teachers have left the schools, but have not carried picket signs.” – Vancouver Sun
Administrators at local schools said this action did not occur in the School District.
