The Okanagan Archive Trust Society has just released it’s 20th edition of their Journal “Archivos”. This 5 year success story is unprecedented in heritage circles for a full colour quarterly.
The journal started as a 2 page newsletter for it’s membership and is now a 40 page glossy periodical that is sent to subscribers throughout western Canada. It is supported by enthusiastic local businesses whose advertising enables the printing.
Over the past 5 years, the society has gathered some outstanding, province-wide history writers contributing sound research of our colourful past.
Headquartered in Penticton, it is designed and edited by society archivist Brian Wilson who many in the South Okanagan know as “Mr. History” for his entertaining lectures and displays..
The Society invites readers to visit the society’s stunning website www.oldphotos.ca for thousands of photos views and articles of the historic Okanagan.
