Update Monday morning

A man who was taken into police custody following the discovery of a body in Oliver this past weekend, has since been released.

Around 3 a.m. on Saturday morning, the Oliver RCMP were called to a disturbance on Saw Mill Lake.

According to Cst. Kris Clark, police arrived to find the body of a woman at the scene and her death was deemed to be suspicious.

Her identity is not being released until her next of kin can be notified.

The police, along with the BC Coroners Service continue to investigate.
