Because of the every increasing interest ( number of entries ) I am implementing some new
tougher rules that I think are fair – but WILL cut down on the workload for this FREE service provided.

1. every item placed on FREE classified must have a local telephone number (OK Falls, Oliver, Osoyoos) or email.
Any item without a number or contact information that is not clearly seen as local will not be published.

2. Rule 1 applies only to FREE classifieds – all ads must have local phone number. FREE events should have a local civic address.

3. When you want your ad (item) taken down you must make that suggestion on the blog – not by email. I repeat: If you want something taken down – say that on the blog by making a second entry stating that. All entries older than 3 weeks (or about 150) are taken down on Sundays.

4. Those businesses wanting help, labour etc should use the space for that and not advertising their business. Items like that will be modified or not published. Business should pay for their employment needs.

5. Because of moderation – (publisher must approve items) – this process is no long instantaneous. Be patient.
Don’t post a second repeat item. Don’t phone the publisher. Don’t send an email saying ” Hey, what’s up Doc?”

6. Pay something forward – for the use of FREE classified or FREE events – send pictures or news items to the publisher. Let the Publisher know what’s going on in your area. For that send items to oliverdailynews@gmail.com – Small price to pay for such a valuable service.
