I am sending you a special invitation to attend the RDOS Heritage Strategic Plan open house.
(Advertisement says 4 to 8pm today at the Osoyoos Museum)
I apologize for the rather short notice but keep in mind this is only a first step. Although there is no open house being held in Oliver at this time, we encourage you to attend the one taking place in Osoyoos this afternoon .
We also encourage you to bring your friends and family along and to forward this message to anyone who might be interested in attending.
These events are not intended to be boring or a ‘talking head’ activity. They will be interactive and interesting. These people want to learn about what you consider to be important historical locations within our area. It could be a personal location, or something that you believe is of importance to the community. They can be buildings, geological formations, empty fields, something that is long gone, anything!
We’re are looking for what makes this area unique and important to the people living here. Although this is often a physical location or item it can be also be things that are intangible, a set of local values and beliefs that are unique to this area.
Please consider attending and adding your input. The more information we have the richer, and more accurate, the final document will be. Consequently, the RDOS and those within it, will be able to best effect a future plan for our heritage and cultural locations. If you need some assistance in getting to a location, please contact:
