On May 11, 2014 at 0530 Hrs two unknown males attempted to cut the lock on the back garbage area of the Oliver Canadian Tire storage compound. When they were unsuccessful one male climbed the fence and cut the lock on the garbage can and rummaged through it. The male then walked into the secured area off the garage where tires and battery cores were stored. The male removed approximately 6 batteries and cores and passed them through a hole in the chain link fence that they had cut. Video from Canadian Tire showed a white pickup, likely a Ford, with a fairly unique canopy. (Rear fibreglass of canopy opens up, not just the glass.) Investigation has identified both the vehicle and possible suspects and efforts are being made to secure sufficient information to support a charge.
