The Oliver Community Arts Council’s Music in the Park has not only changed venues this year, but also expanded its format. Working in collaboration with Oliver Parks and Recreation, and based at the Oliver Community Park and Stage, the summer concert series will also feature food vendors and an art market to make every Thursday evening of the summer a true feast for the senses.
While the Music in the Park series runs June 26 – August 21, the arts market is extended, running from June 19 to September 4. So we’re not only turning up the heat on the music, there will be some serious “sizzle” going on throughout the whole park.
Artists, artisans, crafters, value-added foods (baking, preserves), and food servers are invited to participate. Although the concerts run 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. as usual, the market begins at 4:00 p.m. and continues right through the concert until 8:30.
Members of the Oliver Community Arts Council receive a discount on the art booth fee: $10 per concert. A non-member booth fee is $15. Vendors who come for more than three evenings in the summer will find the OCAC membership is a no-brainer deal! Nothing to sell? Non-profit information booths are FREE!
Help us create some buzz – and we don’t mean cicadas! Please pass on this information to anyone you know who may be interested in participating.
Attached is the registration form for artists, artisans, non-profits, or food vendor. You are welcome to sell (no commission charged), take registrations for art classes, demonstrate your art, promote your services, set up a photography studio, offer kids’ crafts on site, you name it! If you sell, there’s a fee, if you don’t it’s free! Come once or come every Thursday from June 19 to August 21 and September 4. Many more details on the form. Check it out! The form is also available on our website (look under “Forms” on the banner) or by emailing us anytime.
Food servers are charged $35 per evening, and will be limited to a maximum of three or four vendors per concert on a rotating basis.

The Music in the Park series is sponsored in part by the Oliver Parks and Recreation Society. We are looking forward to this new, joint venture! Summer just got hotter — in a good way!
