This ashtray was made for Stiffy Bray near the end of the war at a plant in Medicine hat in 1945 by the women working there.
It was on a porch table at the home of Stiffy and Norma Brays on Tucelnuit Lake until the 1960’s when it disappeared from the property.
Son, Harry Bray, was looking through a new store in Oliver and there it was just sitting there. It had been bought in a market or auction in Penticton, then ended up back in Oliver.
Anyone knowing anything about this ashtray in the last 50 years would be appreciated.
