Vehicle Incident Highway 3 Single Lane Alternating Traffic Vehicle Incident 15 km east of Osoyoos. The road is reduced to single lane alternating traffic. Fire department called at 10:43 Friday morning to the scene.

A semi-trailer truck collided with a car east of Osoyoos Friday – the driver of the truck taken to hospital in Oliver.

RCMP officers state that the truck was traveling westbound and the car was eastbound on Anarchist Mountain west of Bobcat Court, when the driver of the truck failed to slow down at a switchback and crossed into an incoming lane.

He subsequently overcorrected and rolled the truck. The driver was removed from the vehicle by other motorists. He suffered only minor scratches.

The car did hit some of the trailer debris. But that driver was OK and left the scene.

The semi was on its driver’s side and the trailer’s contents were strewn all over the highway.
