Young African girls from Mozambique show their delight as they try on pillow case dresses made by some of the Oliver Grandmothers for Africa. The girls are modest so wore the dresses over their other clothes until they could change in privacy at home.
Connie Denesiuk, who delivered the dresses, said, “You should have heard them giggling about the matching panties. They simply don’t have the luxury of wearing panties there so it was quite a treat and probably the first pair each girl had owned.”
Come and support the work of the Oliver Grandmothers for Africa by attending their Spring Bling event at Oliver United Church on Saturday, April 12 from 9 to 2. There will be bargains galore!
