A former Penticton city councillor who pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault had his sentencing delayed for almost three months.
Leaman is due back in provincial court in Penticton on June 11 to set a date for sentencing.
The court is still awaiting completion of a psychological assessment – a part of a pre-sentencing report upon which the judge will base a decision.
Leaman wasn’t in the courtroom Wednesday. A plea of guilty was entered in January.
A publication ban applies to any details that would identify Leaman’s victims. The offences occurred between 2009 and 2011.
Leaman served one term as a Penticton city councillor from 2002 to 2005. He retired in October 2013 from his position as manager of the Cherry Lane Shopping Centre and was charged in November.
