Ronald Arthur (Ron)Teneycke, 52, was denied bail at the conclusion of his show cause hearing in a Penticton court room on Tuesday.
Judge Gale Sinclair decided Ron Teneycke will remain in custody in Kamloops after hearing from crown counsel Nashina Devji and defence lawyer Michael Welsh.
Judge Sinclair stated: “I am aware of Mr. Teneycke and his history. He cannot or will not comply with court orders. My concern is for the public.” A release from custody as requested by his lawyer was not granted.
The Okanagan Falls man, a convicted sex offender, is facing nine charges including three breaches and six other counts, stemming from incidents on March 12 and 13 in Okanagan Falls.

13-Mar-2014 CCC – 249.1(1) Flight from peace officer

Teneycke was arrested early March 13 on a rural road outside Okanagan Falls.
He was recently released from jail after serving a six month sentence for drug possession.
