Chief Dan Skaros presented with a commendation from the BC Government and the Office of the Fire Commissioner – for an act of courage August 28th, 2013 at the Centennial RV Park in Oliver in the rescue of 8 year old Cody O’Connor from a trailer filled with smoke and on fire.

Commendation presented by Mayor Ron Hovanes at Monday’s council meeting. Hovanes said “How blessed we are” to have such volunteers serve the public in this town.
