It’s official Lynnea is well enough to complete Interim Maintenance Phase 1 of chemotherapy tomorrow!

For anyone who does not know Lynnea she is a bright and happy little girl who just two weeks before her 2nd Birthday was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia; she is responding well to treatment but still has a very long road ahead of her. She is then on a two week break from treatment before she begins the most strenuous phase of treatment Delayed Intensification. During this two week break we want to host a fundraiser for this years annual Child Run Jun 1st, 2014, in Vancouver BC. All procedures will go to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.

This event is to promote Childhood Cancer Research and Awareness. Less than 4% of overall Cancer Funding will actually filter down to children. There is no definitive reason for a child to be diagnosed with CANCER and there has been only one type of chemo drug made specifically for children in the last 10 years. We need more research and funding.
