Last Wednesday March 12th – police were looking for Ronald Arthur Teneycke at his Okanagan Falls home.
On Thursday Teneycke was arrested in the early morning hours and appeared in the Penticton Law courts on three charges. He was sent to Kamloops and appeared again yesterday via video link but quickly remanded for 7 days with his lawyer, Michael Welsh stating more charges were likely from an incident.
The incident undisclosed by Penticton RCMP appears to be related to the operation of Ron Teneycke’s automobile as a new set of charges were sworn today.
As it stands – there are two information’s on the court record
1. CCC 733.1 Breaching provisions of his parole
2. CCC 249. 1 (a) A second for the dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
MVA 73 (1) Failing to stop when requested by a police officer
CCC 249. 1.1 – Flight from a police officer
Last year 52 year old Teneycke was convicted for breach of conditions and possession of a controlled substance and released recently.
He must maintain a curfew of 9pm to 6am.
During the early morning hours of Thursday Teneycke was arrested by a police officer on a rural road outside of Okanagan Falls. He was apprehended for failing to abide by a probation order and failing to stop for RCMP who stated the matter was under investigation.
Teneycke is often described by Crown Counsel in court as a violent sexual predator with a long criminal past. He resided in Oliver briefly when released from a federal prison in 2008.
