If you have not yet received your T-4 slip for CPP & OAS, it is because new addresses provided for income tax filing last year were not shared by Canada Revenue Agency with Service Canada.
It is Service Canada that mails out the slips. The post office in Oliver returned all envelopes to Victoria if they had the ‘old’ address on them. and they can not forward mail to ‘non-existent addresses’.
In order to get the information you need to file this year’s taxes you can phone CRA at 1.800.959.8281 and staff there will give you the information over the phone.
Have your social insurance number handy when you call.
People can also contact the tax preparer they have used in the past with regards to their OAS and CPP slips. The tax preparer may be able to access their slips online through the Canada Revenue Agency website.
