Presentation by Kyle Dion – New Line Skateparks Concept Design

Concept for re-working existing Skateboard area at Lions park with a number of options and combinations for the Parks Board to consider in its budget process. Skateboarders say the area is not that useful, modern or safe. Some simple changes costing little could be implement and options/combinations could range in price from $50 thousand to three hundred thousand dollars.

Mr. Dion told the board that skateboarding is a recognized sport and having such a facilities takes
youth off the streets for the sport into an area of the community that can be a very attractive facility for locals and those attracted by it.
