doris horses22Horse racing will return to Desert Park in Osoyoos for a second straight year .

The two events will take place on for Saturday, June 14 and Saturday, August 16. The June 14 date is consistent with last year’s mid June debut, but the August 16 date is two weeks earlier than last year.

Organizers hope that moving the event forward will help attract more horses and jockeys because there’s no event at Vancouver’s Hastings Park Racecourse that day.
