Ron Teneycke spent about 5 minutes in this courtroom today – on a video link from Kamloops.
RCMP in Penticton stated in “early morning hours of Thursday, Teneycke was arrested by a member on a rural road outside of Okanagan Falls. He was arrested for failing to abide by a probation order ~ failing to stop for police.”
He appeared in court the same day remanded in custody.
Lawyer Michael Welsh, appearing on behalf of Teneycke said he understood there is a third information in the works and that the matter should be set over until all charges are known. Judge Gale Sinclair agreed and left the matter in the hands of the judicial case manager. That date for an appearance now set for March 24th.
No details have been released about what incident preceded Teneycke’s arrest last week.
Court records indicated that Ronald Arthur Teneycke, 52 – appeared in provincial court at Penticton Thursday the following:
MVA section 73 (failing to stop and state name) and Criminal Code of Canada charge 249.1 were laid by the crown as information’s.
He also appeared on a previous information for CCC 733.1 (failure to stop when ordered while on probation)
