Born in Brockville, ON & arrived in Osoyoos with parents Violet & Cecil in July of 1945.
Les began Grade one in the brand new Osoyoos Elementary (Sonora Centre) and was part of the first Grade 7 class to begin in the new Junior High wing (Osoyoos Library).
For twenty five years Les owned and operated LePoidevin Florist stores in Oliver & Osoyoos.
Later he was employed at different retail and wholesale outlets in the area.
Les enjoyed the outdoors and built a cabin at Mt Baldy and was an avid skier, snowmobiler and summer and winter ATV enthusiast as well as a lifetime interest in photography.
He spent twenty years (1963 – 1983) as a member of the RCMP Auxiliary in Osoyoos and donated countless hours.
He also worked for EHS for a short time as an ambulance attendant.
Survived by daughters Tara and Robin; granddaughter Paije and grandsons Tyler, Michael & Carter.
An open house will be held at Les’ home, 4304 – 36th Avenue, Osoyoos on Saturday March 15th from 2 – 4 P.M.
