Oliver Incident

Oliver Fire Department called to a  home near Merlot Ave and Lakeside Drive in the Tucelnuit Lake area at 8:06 Wednesday evening. A women reported that she heard a loud bang in her basement and smoke coming into the main part of the home. Firefighters found no blaze but removed a number of items that may have caused the situation.

RCMP called to look over that material. A joint investigation in progress.

OK Falls Incident

On Waterman’s Hill/Old Kaleden Rd traffic came to a standstill shortly at 4:12 Wednesday afternoon because of a road accident and traffic was halted for a time to clear vehicles. One person to hospital in Penticton. Injuries not life threatening. Two vehicle accident under investigation.
