Kyle Louie enters guilty plea

Kyle C. P. Louie pled guilty Monday to a lesser charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of his brother in 2011.

The 25 year old Louie will appear again May 7th in Vancouver to fix a date for sentencing.

There are several bans on publication listed on court documents CCC 517 and CCC 539 for bail hearing or preliminary hearings – none of which occurred.

Kyle Louie has been in custody for more than three years.

Louie was first charged with second degree murder in the death of his 20 year old brother,  Reece.

On Feb. 19, 2011, police arrived at residence on Black Sage Road and found Reece D.C. Louie lying outside bleeding and suffering from serious injuries. He died in hospital.
