A 25-year-old Kelowna man faces a number of potential charges after police seized a firearm during a search Thursday morning.
On February 20, 2014, members of the Kelowna RCMP Street Enforcement Teams, with assistance from the Southeast District Emergency Response Team, executed a search warrant on a residence on the 200 block of Dougall Road North. Four women and two men were taken into custody without incident inside the home. During the search police seized a loaded Tokarev 7.62 calibre handgun, a replica Beretta handgun, equipment capable of cloning credit cards and various small quantities of methadone, marihuana, methamphetamine, oxycodone, apo-temazepam, steroids, percocet and clonazepam.
The four women and a 19-year-old Penticton man were released without charges while a 25-year-old Kelowna man was held for Court the following day.
The investigation is ongoing.
Jesse MCKNIGHT, who police have deemed a prolific offender, faces a number of possible firearms charges and is scheduled to appear in Court on February 21, 2014.
