Legion Remembrance Day Poster and Literary Contest Winner

Sgt. Kathryn Schur of the 788 Penticton Army Cadets was the 1st place winner in two categories of the Legion Remembrance Day contest in Penticton.  She placed first in both the Essay and the Black and Whiteposter contest earning both a certificate and a cash prize.  These first place entries were sent off to compete at the Zone level, which covers 10surrounding communities.  At the Zones she placed 2nd for both entries. As a resident of Oliver, this is her first year entering in Penticton throughthe Army cadets.

Sgt Schur is an accomplished contestant, she received 1st in both of these categories last year in Oliver as well.  Sgt. Schur will receive a presentation by the Royal Canadian Legion on Wed, Feb 19, at 6:15 pm on parade at the 788 Royal Canadian Army Cadet Corps, 439 Winnipeg Street.
