The Hornets have won the zone championship 5 of the last 6 years and over that span they have captured 3 valley championships and 2 provincial banners, the Hornets are looking to recapture the title they lost to in the finals last year to Kelowna Christian.

Come out and cheer your community high school team SOSS to victory, it is exciting and up tempo basketball and there is no cost for admission. On Sunday at noon the Hornets will play Pen Hi in the 51st annual shoe game. The shoe game was started in 1963 and has been a fixture between the two schools ever since. To date the record is Pen Hi with 29 wins and SOSS with 21. Over the past 9 years the Hornets have won the shoe 8 times, having won it 7 straight years in a row. The ebb and flow of talent has been shown on the trophy as there have been other times in the past 51 years where Pen Hi dominated for numerous years only to have the Hornets disrupt this trend. The lakers will be looking to stop the Hornet run, but the Hornets are up for the task as they look to capture the shoe for the 7th straight year. Come out on Sunday and watch some entertaining high school basketball, this is the last home game of the Hornets as they prepare for the valleys in their quest for valley gold and another provincial banner.
