On February 3, 2014 Oliver and Osoyoos Detachment, assisted by the South Okanagan Regional Detachment attended to a residence in the 4000 block of Highway 97 and were able to recover a trailer stolen from the Penticton area on January 16, 2014.  Members also recovered a firearm, ammunition, a battery charger and other items which were reported stolen as a result of a break and enter in Osoyoos in late January.  No charges will be pursued as a result of this investigation.

On February 05, 2014 the Oliver Detachment RCMP received a report that a White 2009 Hummer had been stolen from a residence in the 1000 block of McKinney Road.  This vehicle was recovered later in the day, abandoned in a parking lot off Spillway Rd. behind Oliver’s community park. On recovery of the vehicle it was noted that the battery was exhausted and side air bags had been deployed likely from being driven off road by the thief / thieves.

On February 07, 2014 an Oliver resident reported finding a bicycle on her driveway, located in the 6000 block of Meadows Drive.  the bicycle is described as a ladies burgundy Mongoose twenty one speed. The owner can arrange to recover this bike by contacting the Oliver Detachment and quoting file # 2104 2014-493 and providing further descriptive detail.
