A fire completely destroyed a home in Cawston Friday at 1888 Barcelo Road at McCurdy Avenue. Fire call dispatched at 7:54 am

An elderly couple and their son who had just arrived at the home escaped with no injury.

Keremeos Fire Chief Jordy Bosscha said they got the call about an attic fire, and first-in crews were met with a fully engulfed garage and probably half the house.

They started to attack the blaze, but the area had limited water supply.
