Oliver Theater has been entertaining Oliverites since Alex Gough opened the doors with “Great Expectations” starring John Mills and Valerie Hobson, October of 1949.
Built at a cost of $55,000 and capacity seating of 444, the Oliver Theater is a mainstay of what to do on a night out. Competing with the latest in home theatre technology the house is full for the foreign film club, teens are still snuggling to a romantic movie and Grandpa and Grandma never stopped sharing a box of popcorn with real butter.
Today the Oliver Theater is high tech with the latest in digital sound systems and 3D capabilites. Check out the times, make a date and enjoy one of the least expensive nights out on the town. Don’t forget to enjoy the popcorn with real butter.
