RCMP responded to a report that a black Chevrolet Monte Carlo had struck a utility pole at the corner of Main Street and Skagit Avenue, Oliver BC.  RCMP attended and observed the pole had been sheared off at the base and was split lengthwise.  Subsequent investigation identified and located the driver of the vehicle, a 42 year old female Oliver resident who was issued a Violation Ticket for Fail to Remain at the scene of an accident and No Insurance.  Speed appears to have played a significant role in this crash.  If there are any witnesses to this please feel free to contact the Oliver Detachment @ (250)498-3422 – File number 2104 2014-337 refers.
