I’ve been to several places in town trying to find out which facilities have defibrillators (hospital, town office, school board office, chamber of commerce, library, etc.) but have been able to find them at 8 locations.

So far, I believe each of the following has a defibrillator on site (and has conducted training for some personnel).

– Southern Okanagan General Hospital

– All 3 Secondary Schools in the district

– Oliver Arena

– Oliver Rec Centre

– Eastlink Curling Centre (Oliver Curling Club)

– Fairview Mountain Golf Course

– Oliver Firehall

Don’t know what you can do with this start on the information but it wouldn’t hurt if the public was made aware of where some defibrillators can be found. Perhaps you might invite other groups to add their names to the list if they have them too.

Hopefully this helps and even saves a life.
