Dave and the American breeder met the new owners from Quesnel at the Osoyoos border crossing, exchanged appropriate papers and then headed back to Oliver.
New owners stopped at Canadian Tire to pick up a proper sized harness for Dave and he got away from them and bolted down Rd #1 turning into the orchard at Collin’s Pond.
Hours were spent searching for him in the area and he was at one time spotted over near Cessna St only to again bolt away heading back towards the pond.
Joe Kirs spotted him heading thru the orchard and the search carried on into the darkness in the Yarrow St area. It is our understanding that Joan Whiteman did some evening searching and we did more night searching with car & flashlight after 10:30 pm.
A welcome phone call at 7:00 am from Joe to say he has David cornered in his garage and he is now wagging his tail and having breakfast and resting before continuing his trip to his new home in Quesnel after an exciting night out on the town.
