An annual holiday event in Osoyoos has raised close to $15,000 for deserving children both locally and provincially.
The fourth annual NK’MIP Festival of Trees wrapped up with $3,640 raised for the Spirit of the Game Society, while $11,105 was raised for B.C. Children’s Hospital.
The six week event with a number of organizations from the Oliver and Osoyoos area displaying decorative Christmas trees at the NK’MIP resort for the public to vote on and make donations.
This year, the Osoyoos and District Arts Council generated the most funds and votes for their tree. Beyond Beauty Salon & Day Spa had the second most votes and the Osoyoos Credit Union raised the second most funds.
