Is your child needing extra help with their education needs? A Small School Will Be An Advantage…With small class sizes, the students are privileged to have maximum attention from teachers, thus providing a higher quality of learning. South Okanagan Adventist Christian School, established in 1950, provides a secure and caring environment in which young people can mature. We recognize the uniqueness of each individual.
We have a program of education that is holistic in its approach to learning so that each student can develop to his or her full potential academically, spiritually, physically and socially.
The teachers are B.C. Certified, they are also dedicated to encouraging students to develop a love for God, a love and acceptance of other people, and a healthy self-esteem.
SOACS is an accredited co-educational school, owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. While the school functions within the framework of an Adventist world view, it is open to all students, regardless of religious beliefs. SOACS is a member of the worldwide educational system of Adventist Schools and also the Federation of Independent Schools (FISA) in British Columbia, and is accredited by the BC Ministry of Education.
It is part of a system of over 4,533 primary and 939 secondary schools throughout the world. Besides the well-known Loma Linda University in California, there are 79 other Adventist colleges and universities. SOACS enrollment is carefully managed to insure that the Teacher-Student ratio is kept so that those needing special attention, receive the attention needed to succeed.
For the remainder of the school year 2014 the tuition will be waived for any students wishing to enroll at this time.. Also, the school board has passed and agreed to waive the tuition fees for the school year 2014/2015.
