Curling at the Eastlink Curling Centre has ended for 2013. The auction was a success, all regular leagues are active, many school students got some curling experience and the special Olympians were back in action.

The day league finished with a 2 day playoff, ending on Monday, Dec. 16th. It was hard-fought all the way and the Gary Guraliuk rink emerged on top, pursued closely by the Dale Doge rink. A finale on the 18th featured another contest involving all players, with the ‘blue’ team trouncing the ‘red’ team. All curlers then retired to the lounge for food, refreshments and a gift exchange. Did you know that beer and pizza are considered by some to be the two main food groups?

All leagues will recommence play the week of January 6, 2014. See you next year!
