On December 09, 2013 a local young person reported that some person had stolen her wallet from her insecure vehicle while it was parked near SOSS. Stolen was a small red bi-fold and contained ~ $100 in cash, BC drivers license & care card, CIBC debit card, RBC MasterCard, and various other items.

On December 9th 2013 an employee working for Spruce Valley Contracting reported a theft of approximately 1600 litres of marked diesel fuel and an Orange Huskvarna chainsaw from a work site located 31 Kilometres down on Micah Creek road (off Mckinney Road), near Oliver B.C.

On December 14, 2013 an Oliver property owner called to report a fraudulent rental ad on Craigslist for a rental property on Sawmill Rd. Potential victims of this scam advised they were about to wire a deposit when they were contacted by the property owner. The advertisement has since been flagged on Craigslist.
