Renters John and Janine Sanderson and family – left without a home after a fire on the weekend. The have a 10 year old boy and a 8 year old girl.
Fire reported at 11:53 pm Sunday evening at or near Ferko Rd and MacKenzie Rd. House fully engaged. Gutted. The owner of the home has fire insurance but no content insurance was obtained by the tenant. People can go to any branch of the Valley First Credit Union and donate to the J & J Sanderson Family or can donate online at www.indiegogo.com/projects/sanderson-family-housefire,
Fortunately, they escaped the fire, but have little more than clothes on their backs – Janine didn’t even have time to grab her coat before running out into the freezing cold. They had no insurance.
They hope that, somehow, some of their family photos will have survived. What hasn’t burned has most likely been destroyed by smoke and water damage – including the kids’ Christmas presents.
They need to buy new clothes, food, furniture, beds, basically everything. It is going to be a very hard Christmas. If you can help, please do.
